Ok, so maybe I am a little slow – say 49 years or so slow, but I have caught up now! I love Sophie the Giraffe! Sophie the Giraffe has been around for more than 49 years… Since 1961, more than 30 million Sophies have been sold in the world. 830,000 babies were born in France last year; over 710,000 giraffes have been sold! Her success has been huge in Europe, America and in Canada. She just won the ASTRA – Best Baby Toy of the Year 2009 in the USA.
And now – Sophie has made it big in Hollywood, with all the stars now jumping on the bandwagon. Nicole Richie, Naomi Watts, Sofia Coppola, Isla Fisher, Ashlee Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Tori Spelling, Milla Jovovich, Dennis Quaid, Kate Hudson, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Debra Messing all have Sophie the Giraffes for their little ones! But the one I like the most is Steve, (Cynthia Nixon’s husband on Sex in the City), check him out below and Martha Stewart – just goes to show you are never too old for Sophie.
